Sophie can skate!!

A few weeks ago at the school summer fete i managed to get Sophie a little bargin a pair of roller skates for £1. I then realised that she did not know how to skate so i needed to teach her i had much fun doing this wacthing her fall over all the time. Cruel as it sounds Sophie is a clumsey girl (if only you could see the bruised legs and cut hands).



As you can see i finally managed to get her on her feet and keeping her balance all at the same time. I was so proud of my little Sophie that she can now finally roller skate.

My super singing stars!!!

After a nice walk home from school in the rain for Stephanie she felt the only way to dry herself and warm up was with a good old sing song on the singstar on the playstation. So being the good mammy i am i caught it all on video he he!!



And of course it doesn't surprise me that my little Sophie had to jump in on the act and sing her little heart out aswell!!!!
My girls never find any problem with amusing themselves so go on girls SING YOUR HEARTS OUT!!!
I think they have both got a talent for singing well of course i'm biased, but what can i say!



This is Stephanie's dream when she grows up to be a singer/actress so it's no surprise that where ever there is music you will always find Stephanie with a microphone!! As you can see from the video above she sings beautifully to "TIFFANY'S COULD HAVE BEEN" I'm so glad she has a love of music just like me she even loves the same genre of music she makes me so proud when she sings!! THAT'S MY GIRL!!

Funny things cats!!!

I'm not sure if any of you are aware that i love cats? Well i adore them, i find there antics so funny and when i found this on you tube i just couldn't resist sharing it with you!!

I even followed Boots around one day to find out that he is just as nuts as the rest of the cats on you tube!!! Even Lily has her mad moments and she is the kind of cat that would rather just lay down and do nothing but sleep all day or just find a box some where and hide!!!

Boots even climbs into the car before we leave on a journey expecting us to take him with us i unfortunatly don't have a picture of this, but i will soon i promise you! He even waits for our return and jumps back in so as for us to not leave again!! And if all else fails lays under the car!!! What a muppet!!!!!!!



My Lily does love a box or anything she can find to hide! Even to the point of hiding under Stephanie's bed covers!!!



As you can see my cats are just as daft as the next, but i do love them and they do make me laugh alot! As daft as they can be they are lap cats and will come over and sit and force their head in your hand for a good old fuss and some loving soppy things!!!

The camera is out again!!!

After dinner we decided that we'd all pose for some pictures bearing in mind i looked a fright after spending 2 and half hours cooking a roast dinner! The weather today has been gorgeous hot and sunny so most of it was spent in my lovely refurbished garden! Next up for the garden is some new plants so i'm going to become somewhat of a green finger person lets just hope that i can get it done quick enough before the next lot of floods and down pours lol!!!







Everytime there are pictures taken of my children i still can't get over how grown up they look and how much they change with evey new picture! I still sometimes have to pinch myself to realise that these are my children and just how proud of them i really am. I know that most times they can really get on my nerves, but i must admit i would be lost without them.
Even though Paul is around and is a wonderful dad to them we have grown so much closer as a family and i have fantastic relationship with them, while being a single parent is hard i do indeed find that what does not kill you definatly makes you stronger!! We have had some hard times as a family, but we have come through them together THE POWER OF 4 as Stephanie calls us!! I'm lucky to have my beautiful children and such a wondeful support group around me to help me in my hour of need!! I LOVE YOU KIDS!!!!!

Sunday a day of Gardening!

After all the really bad weather we've been having lately my garden has grown so much that it resembled a forest! I decided that it needed a well earned trim, with all the growing its has been doing! My friends Brian and Mandy came over this afternoon and while Mandy was surfing the net Brian kindly spent the afternoon cutting down all the overgrown weeds and grass.



Once finished with the front garden Brian then moved onto the back! Even the patio didn't escape Brians clutches.



My garden has never looked so good so thank you Brian you worked so hard to make it look good for me, i just need to keep on top of it all now with my strimmer now working what excuse do i have!!!! It finally looks like garden!!!!!

Stephanie's having her say!!

Stephanie asked me now that we know how to add videos to our gorgeous looking blog could we please put her favourite song on here? So i asked her what song did she want me to add and she chose "4 in the morning" by the wonderful Gwen Stefani.

And as i also have a weakness for this very talented singer i did not need much persuading so here it is!!!!

Team Extreme 2!!!!

Here we go as promised yesterday's videos of Team Extreme hopefully they will work!!!! We all believed that these people were so good and it must have taken some serious time, energy and hours and hours of practice to get these stunts down to perfect hats of to these guy's as i'm sure while in those practices they must have hurt themselves so many times just so they could entertain us folks.

These first 2 are what's called flat land riding with BMX bikes!





Up next was a chap doing his stunt with a skateboard on the half pipe my god they are so talented.

We had an absolutly fantastic time going ooh and ahh and gasping and holding our breath just in case they went wrong, which one bloke did but that one will hopefully be on the next installment of Team Extreme!!!

Team Extreme!!!!

Today we went off to see a talented group called Team Extreme!! This day the kids and i had been looking forward to since we saw it advertised on t.v a couple of weeks ago. It was fab day the demonstration was only about 30 mins long, but we were all gripped by the amazing stunts these guys pulled off on there Bmx bikes, skateboards and in line skates.

After watching a few stunts and needing to be very quick of the mark while taking photos, i figured that it would be easier to use the video camera as they were so quick, so at least we could catch what they were doing. I have unforunatly not worked out how to put my own videos on here yet, so i'm unable to share the rest with you hopefully i will work it out soon though. We left here on a high and decided that as it was a nice day for a change we went off to a place called "The Strand" where the kids could play and i could rest with a nice cup of coffee. James and Sophie went of the little train ride they have there!

Sophie as per normal being the poser she is insisted that i took a couple of her just standing doing nothing. I think she is destined to be a model when she grows up who knows!! I hope she does i'd be ever so proud.

I also took just a couple of pictures of the Marina just across the river from where we were. I love this place and adore the view it has to offer, i have often just driven down to The Strand on my own just to sit on a bench and look across just to think, i call this place my perspective in life. It's a most serene and peaceful place (even when the weather isn't so good)

So after a nice stroll along the riverside we went of to Mcdonalds for Happy meals all round except for me i had Big Mac off course. I did enjoy it mind you i figured sod the diet, well for one day at least! Then off home to have a well needed bath because boy were they hot, sweaty and absolutly flithy from the playing in the Park and sand pit!!!

Friendships!!

I thought maybe it was time in a way to introduce you all to each other just in case you haven't all met and for those who have well what can i say!!

First up is the ever so wonderful Marrisa and her husband Michael they live in New Zealand and i miss them everyday of my life! Even though they are far away they are always there for me no matter what!

Then we have gorgeous Bethany she is the daughter of Marrisa and Michael, she is a beautiful gem!

Then we have the wonderful Sarah, she makes my day and is a fantastic friend always there to listen and come running when i'm having my bad days i couldn't ask for a better friend.

Then we have Sally apart from Marrisa whom i've known 12 years i have known Sally the longest and we both been through alot together and i would be so lost without her in my life! You give the best advice a girl could ever want babe!

Next up is Hayley i don't really know what to say about her as it would all be lies! lol just kidding. Hayley you can always count on to be very forth coming with her advice and speaks her mind i have great appreciation for her honesty she makes me laugh more than she ever knows he he!!

Finally there is the ever so nutty Keelie as you can see from the picture she likes a laugh she has a fab sense of humor and always cracks me up in whatever she does! She has the best free spirit in a person i've ever known!

So there we have you all in one place. You all have special meaning to me in different ways, but i do love you all and i am proud and glad that are all in my life i truely wouldn't know what to do without you all.

I have left 2 people out that mean more to me than anything in the world they are the best friends i will ever have in my life and they are my Mam and Dad I love you!

I wrote you all a poem!!!

Bye bye car!!!

Yesterday i sold my car! This car has been a pain in the arse since Mark bought for me in feb last year. I can't count the number of times we threw money at it to get it fixed or buy a part for it. I promised myself that the next thing that went wrong on it i would get rid of the cursed car! Well to my amazement a week last friday the car decided that it needed something else new! (the spark plugs) i know it's a small problem but by now i'd had enough so i brought new spark plugs and put it up for sale.

I decided to sell it on Ebay knowing that i might not get the full asking price of £350 i knew i was taking a risk but a risk worth taking to get rid of the dam car!!! However someone did buy my darling little car and thank god believe me!!! The chap that bought it is coming to collect it on tuesday and i can't wait to say goodbye to the car! The thorn in my side is finally going. The only thing is now i don't have a car now! I'm franticly searching all over for a new car i just didn't realise how much the ones i like cost it's unbelieveable!!

Above is the kind of car i'm looking at buying i'm hoping that one will come up soon in my price range. I'm going to be so lost without a car for a few days, but it's going to be worth it! Hey i might even walk the kids to school that would be good fun lol!!!!!!!

An evening after school and what we get upto!!!

Today after school as per normal we don't really get up to much, i do however try and make the evening not so dull this is really hard as they all are so tired from a hard day at school, even though they were tired i still managed to get some nice pictures of them before dinner!! My children are posers and love the camera so will pose as soon as they see the camera comes out of it's sleeve. Somehow this seems to make their tiredness go away rather quick i wonder why!!





The only problem with this is that as soon as Stephanie can get the camera away from me she will indeed turn it on me whether i'm looking at my best or not! She's a bit of a rat bag like that, but hey it's in all good fun so what can i say!



And as you can see not even the cats managed to escape Stephanie and her flashes although i don't think they really cared somehow!!







I truely believe that Stephanie has found a talent with photography that will see her right the way through her adult years. Well done my darling you make your mum proud!
